What Is ShareFunds?
ShareFunds allows GiveWise Giving Fund holders to share portions of their fund with others, enabling them to give to the charities of their choice.
When you share funds, the recipient receives a unique gift: the ability to donate real dollars to a cause they care about, courtesy of you. This feature not only spreads generosity but fosters a ripple effect of kindness and support for communities in need.

How Does it Work?
Share the Gift of Giving
From your GiveWise Giving Fund, choose the amount you want to share and enter the recipient’s email. You can even include a personalized message. (i.e Thank you Trevor for all your amazing support and contributions to the community!!)
Recipient Gets Notified
The recipient will receive an email letting them know about their ShareFunds gift, complete with easy instructions to claim and donate the funds.
Make an Impact
Once the recipient claims their funds, they can donate to any registered charity in Canada, creating a meaningful impact in the community.
Please Note: The individual that shares the funds with their family member, friend or colleague retains the tax receipt.

What happens if the recipient doesn’t claim their funds?
If the funds are not claimed within 30 days, they will return to your GiveWise Giving Fund.

Absolutely! You can share funds as often as you’d like, with as many recipients as you choose.
Does the recipient need a GiveWise Account?
Yes, in order for the recipient to select their preferred charity they will be directed to sign up for an account if they don't already have one. It's quick and easy to register - they will just need to enter some basic details.
